Nix Forest Industries is a 5th generation family owned business. Formerly W.R. Tyer Lumber Co. and then Tyer Lumber Co, and now Nix Forest Industries, it was established in 1931 by W.R. Tyer.

Making the highest quality southern yellow pine boards has been our goal since the start.

With a capacity of over 25 million board feet a year, we buy only mature grade sawtimber from east Texas and Louisiana forests.

The logs we get in are mostly native timber that are anywhere from 40-60 years old.
